How to Uninstall WordPress Theme
If you have customized a WordPress theme and want to save those customizations before you delete them, first create a complete WordPress backup. Apart from this, you can download the theme folder on your computer. To do this, you can use the File Manager plugin. After installing the plugin, click on wp-content / themes / and download the inactive theme folder to your computer. Also, you can use FTP client or your WordPress hosting account.
1. Uninstall WordPress Theme from Admin Dashboard-:
This is the easiest and recommended method of all. First, go to the Appearance >> Themes page and click on the theme you want to delete. A popup with theme details will open in front of you. You have to click the delete button in the bottom right corner in the popup screen. After this, you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the theme. Just click on the OK button, and your WordPress theme will be uninstalled.
2. Uninstall WordPress Theme with the help of File Manager-:
First of all, install the File Manager plugin on your site. After installing the plugin, click WP File Manager >> wp-content / themes / and delete the theme folder. Now your selected WordPress theme will be deleted. Note: You can also uninstall Theme by using File Manager app in FTP client or Hosting account.
What to do if you accidentally delete a WordPress Theme?
You can restore your theme from backup. It is very easy. However, if you have not done a backup, you can restore the theme by installing a new copy of the same theme.
